Corner House is a 200 year old Grade II listed cottage situated in the heart of the village of High Lorton within the Lake District National Park, close to Loweswater, Crummock , Buttermere and Derwent water. The cottage retains a wealth of original features, window seats with views to the fells, comfy brass beds, open fires and a huge woodburning stove - perfect to come home after a days walking.

The village of High Lorton nestles at the foot of the Whinlatter Pass within the Buttermere Lorton Valley and Corner House commands views to the front over the valley towards the beautiful Loweswater fells and to the rear the hills around the Whinlatter Pass with its new Go Ape Forest adventure and mountain bike trails. Lorton has a small traditional  shop, and pub and in nearby Loweswater (2.5 miles) the 400yr old award winning Kirkstile Inn can be found with log fires, traditional ales and excellent locally produced food.
